abezash’s art invites viewers to unravel layers of meaning within objects and artifacts, fostering emotional engagement and personal interpretation. Her art serves as a powerful voice against social inequality and corruption, sparking conversations for societal change. Inspired by her own encounters with adversity and loss, abezash explores themes of personal growth, resilience, and the transformative power of self-expression. She was also the founder of Artists for Charity, a non-governmental organization that supported children affected by the Ethiopian HIV/AIDS crisis.
abezash is a devoted mother of four children and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Painting and Photography from the Savannah College of Arts and Design. Her art can be found in private and permanent collections.
